A week Trip in Central Tibet
Day 1: Fly from China to Lhasa in the morning, landed in Gongkar airport where you will be greeted by your Tibetan tour guide who speaks good English and your Tibetan driver then drive to old city of Lhasa. Check in the Yak or Thangka hotel, Rest well for the high altitude but at noon walk down town to have some light lunch at Lhasa Kitchen, which is located near your hotel.
Day 2: morning, drive to Drepung monastery and Sera monastery these are the biggest monasteries in Lhasa which are the belongs to Yellow Hat Sect in Tibetan Buddhism.
Day 3: morning visit Potala Palace which is the winter residence of His Holiness the Dhalai Lama.
In the after noon, visit Jokang Temple. This is one of the oldest temple in Tibet built in 7th century time of the 33rd King of Tibet.
Day 4: morning drive to Shigatse via Yamdok Tso lake, Gyangtse Kubum Chorten monastery. Check in the Tashi Choeder hotel.
Day 5: Morning, visit Tashi Lunpo monastery and then drive to Sakya Monastery one of the most special monastery in Tibet, which is the main monastary for Sakyapa Sect and then drive back to Shigatse.
Day 6: morning visit free market and then back to Lhasa!
Day 7: Morning drive to Lhasa train station and catch your train to China or flight.
