First I would like thank you for the nice trip we have got in Tibet. People have enjoyed it very much and have a great souvenir. And that was possible for the kind staff we got (drivers and cooks), for the good guide (Pasang) and for your cooperation with the changes over the ground. But just to improve this trip on the future I want to notice you a few things: The camping tents must be big enough for 2 people and waterproof; in August there are a lot of storms, rain falls and bad weather. We usually fold down the tents complete wet and wait for the afternoon Sun to dry its. But if the bad weather persists for 2 days or more, we must be ready to look for a solution like a simple hotel or shelter on the way! That happens to me in Dira Puk, when at dinner time most of them have the tent wet and still 12 hours ahead of rain. I move them to some rooms just for 780Y and things change in better. We must think that most of them are over 50 and some over 60 years old. So they prefer to avoid camping and tents. For the future we must include hotels in Saga and Darchen in both ways, going for the kora and after the kora (it would be difficult make them camping near a city with a hotel, shower, shops and restaurants they¡äve been before). Also in the Kailash kora we must have the same tables and chairs we¡äve got in Manasarovar kora! It made a big difference of comfort; and isn't a reason just save a few kilos on the yaks! About the food was good and enough; just the pack-lunch was every day the same (boiled egg, chapatti, sausage, apple and Snicker). I suggest you try to vary it a little, because if someone doesn't like this items he has no options for 8 days. I can help now bringing some items from Kathmandu like cheese, tuna fish, sardines, dry fruits, etc. more at european style.I think it¡äs all. We¡äre happy with the trip and you have a really good staff who help people with luggage, pictures, etc. That makes a big difference with other trips in Tibet.
We were very pleased with our tour guide and driver. They were reliable, trust worthy, competent and flexible. As with many other tours, our itinerary required some changes from day to day. they made adjustments to meet our needs. On one day, we were late for lunch with ne of my long time friends, but this did not cuase a serious problem. We would recommend our tour guide and driver to others and would be delighted to have their services for our next tour in Tibet.
Driver: Execellent job.
2nd Driver: Great men and driving.
Guide: very good guide- we are very satisfied
We are very happy with service of driver and our tour guide. Norbu( guide) was very patient when we are slow in climbing and was informative and explained when we had questions. she went out of her way to get the telephone card for us. we will highly recommend her and your travel company to our friends and relatives..
1) very nice tour almost 20 days.
2) Permits ok even if difficult for 4 person-thanks
3) If redong: review careful the all part of interest in order to have them asked on the permit ie. Shalu, tirthpuri.
-Kailash to be done at the end (on return) in order to be acclimatized.
-Some stops to be avoided as the road is now very good: example Lhatse to Paryang if possible.
4) Guide: ok in general- may be increase knowledge on Tibetan life/culture/Nomads/Wildlife
Here we would like to send our wishes for your whloe team best of luck for the coming New Year
Ruslan and I tryly enjoyed the tour. Passang was very Knowledgeble and attentive to our needs. He gave us detailed information about all places we visited and went out of his way to make us feel confortable.
The food was great, the hotel selection was outstanding, except Zhangmu Hotel. Ther were spider webs abd the showers was not working properly. i would recommend finding a different hotel in Zhangmu.
Yambi (The Driver) and passang (guide) were very friendly and a really pleasent company.
Thank you very much for an unforgetable time in Tibet. Our expectation were difinitely excluded. We will definitely recommend Songtsan Travel!
We highly recommend Songtsan travel after an unforgettable week in Tibet. The staff and personal are friendly and if there were any unforeseen problems, they solved smoothly. The local origin of the staff is a benefit, it gave u a very local experience and genuine insight into the life of Tibetans. One obvious thing to improve is the safety and maintenance of the vehicle we rode in. Seat belt is absolute must in every car!
The tour was very good. We appreciated Tenzin's Tibetan background and knowledge of all the places we visited. His local knowledge and life experiences that he shared with us helped to give us an understanding of Tibetan life. Everything was well organised which helped to make the trip a great experience. The only problem is the cost of the 3 days in Tibet was very expensive.
Excellent commuication of the trek. Warm welcome dinner. Very good food during the trek. We had a very good time with the guide ans supporting staff on the way/ trail. Thanks alot!!!
In whole case we felt comfortable. all steps, hotels and restaurants were very good. our guide was very friendly, very helpful, had a big knowledge, everything very good, she was always in a good mood. our driver doves carefully those stony ways so we felt protected. problem was that this car wants guide for those hard ways so sometimes felt uncomfortable because of the shaking. More hints for lighter at the base station for the night and the rest rooms hadn't water and so they were disgusting.
